Concept of Open, Distance, Flexible Learning is essentially a transactional pedagogy emerged out of De-schooling ideology which has given birth to a variety of modalities to facilitate learning of learners to the utmost extent and simultaneously minimizing the human support in the form of an authentic source of information alike a teacher.
Of course, distance learners across globe are in double bind---- (1) Negotiating frequently with self-study process in the absence of any interactive mode of learning ,(2) Lack of availability of adequate resources.
Many of the schools in our country never focus the promotion of self regulated learning strategies, eventually each learner( average) become victimized with errors/lacunae and the gross errors has been paralyzing our society.
